The Vivid Image team is proud to be working to help promote the Minnesota Lynx sponsored event coming to our town of Hutchinson on May 7th, aimed at celebrating the achievements of Hutchinson’s own Lindsay Whalen.
Aptly named, Lindsay Whalen Day, we are working along side the Minnesota Lynx and other area sponsors to spread the word about the amazing day being planned for May 7th. Sponsors include the Hutchinson Leader, MidCountry Bank, KDUZ Radio, and Zella’s Restaurant.
The events on May 7th are FREE to attend- There will be a HUGE pep rally with bands, food and fun at the Hutchinson Events Center. The event center parking lot will be roped off for some fun basketball related activities. There’s also an event at Zella’s that evening too. Lindsay will be attending events and signing autographs. Lynx tickets and memorabilia will be available for purchase, along with Lindsay’s newly available #13 Lynx jersey.

Join Lindsay’s Hutchinson Facebook group, called “Show Your Support-Lindsay Whalen Day -Back in Hutch May 7th. Leave a comment here (or a comment on the related Confessions of a Mom post) that you “Liked” her fan page, along with a valid email address. If you have a fond memory of seeing Lindsay play in Hutch or for the Gophers, leave it in the comments section. One lucky person who has done these steps will be selected at random from the comments section (either here on Vivid Image Inc or on Confessions of a Mom ), awarded a pair of FREE Tickets to the Opener, and notified via email on May 4th! Winner will have 24 hours to reply to email, or another winner will be chosen.

One of my favorite memories is traveling to Hutchinson with my friend Angie for the retirement of Lindsay’s jersey. We got there super early, and we were fortunate to meet many of the locals, since everyone checked out the strangers in their midst. One woman even invited us back to her house for dinner before the game (we declined, didn’t want to give up our seats). The Gophers, and coaches, were all there as well. Memorable!!
