Gain More Followers to your Company’s Linkedin

Determining the best social media strategy isn’t always easy.  Often companies have several goals they want to meet, different social networks they want to be on, and customers across the web they want to engage with.  How do you get your messaging in front of the right people, so you can start engaging and building relationships?

Of course, there are lots of ways to do it, and the plan of action is different for every company. But when Linkedin social mediasocial networks introduce simple ways to connect with new prospects and customers, like the example below, it may present a new opportunity to make connections.

So here is one example that you may want to implement on your blog – Adding a “Follow Company” button to your website and digital marketing material. This little widget will make it easier for your customers and prospects to follow your company on Linkedin. With just 1 click, they can stay up-to-date on your company news, career opportunities or industry trends.

Here is ours, click it to see how it works (and follow us!):

Before you consider adding this button, you should have:

  1. A completed personal Linkedin profile
  2. A completed company Linkedin profile

Ideally, you will also want to be continually adding company updates, at least once a week.  You can add your company’s blog as an RSS feed, but adding other updates that will interest your followers will keep your company top-of-mind.

If you are WordPress savvy, click here to add the Follow Company button to your website. It is as simple as copy and pasting some code into a text widget.

If you want this nifty button, but want some help, contact your Project Manager at Vivid Image or contact us with questions.

Do you have a company profile on Linkedin?  In the comments below, add a link to your company’s profile so we can follow you!  Then think about adding the “Follow Company” button and other features to gain more followers.
