These Interactive Reports are useful for marketing, or to detect image leaching.
The Top Entry and Exit Pages by Page Interactive Report allows a user to select a single page contained within their website and see the top pages used to access the page, and the top pages used to exit the website. This is a particularly useful form of data mining that allows users to track where people are coming from when they access a specific page. For example, if a page is specified in an advertising campaign or marketing campaign, users can see exactly how people are accessing that page, and verify any information that is given by the particular site that contains the advertising.
The Top Referrals by Page Interactive Report allows a user to select a single page contained within their website and see the top referring sites to that specific page. This is a particularly useful form of data mining that allows users to track where people are coming from when they access a specific page. For example, if a page is specified in an advertising campaign or marketing campaign, users can see exactly how people are accessing that page, and verify any information that is given by the particular site that contains the advertising.
Allows you to track the bandwidth usage, total bandwidth usage, and the IP address of referrals for specific images you have placed on your website. This report is extremely helpful in tracking marketing or advertising campaigns involving direct link images from the point of advertising to an image you keep in your website. For example, for a banner advertising campaign where the banner that is displayed is actually kept withing your root images folder, but served on one or more separate websites.
Allows you to track the bandwidth usage, total bandwidth usage, and the IP address of referrals for specific images you have placed on your website on a per page basis versus a per image basis. This interactive report will show you what pages contain broken links to files on your site. This report is very useful to run once in awhile to determine what pages need to be fixed and what third parties need their links updated.
The Number of Visits Before Page Viewed Interactive Report allows a user to select a single page contained within their website and see the number of times a person visited the site prior to reaching and viewing the page selected. The report itself shows the IP address of the visitor, the initial Entry Page for that visitor before they viewed the page selected, the number of visits before the page selected was viewed, and the percentage.
The Top Query Items by Page Interactive Report allows you to view information pertaining to the various query strings that are passed by a particular page of your website.
A typical example is the SmarterStats Professional Edition Help system. Whenever anyone clicks on the "Help" graphic or a "What is this?" link within a specific Report Item, a query string is passed from the SmarterStats application to the SmarterTools website. This query string relates to the particular page or Report Item the user is seeking help with. Looking at the screenshot above, you'll notice that the first query returned is "pages\Understanding%20Custom%20Reports". That means that the most requested help item at the time the screenshot was taken related to Understanding Custom Reports.
The Top Query Strings by Page Interactive Report allows you to view the various query strings that are passed by a particular page of your website.
A typical example is the SmarterStats reports. Whenever anyone clicks on a report link within a specific Report catigory, a query string is passed from the SmarterStats application to the SmarterTools website. This query string relates to the particular page or Report Item the user is seeking help with. Looking at the screenshot above, you'll notice that the first query returned is "ReportType=ReportItem&subReportName=Top%20Pages%20by%20Views/Visits". That means that the most requested report string at the time the screenshot was taken was the Report Type Top Pages by Views/Visits. Strings returning no results are ignored and not displayed.
